On goes the fun and games of business start up, from insurance to banking and accountants, from branding and websites to social media!
Perhaps the most exciting of these, for me personally, has been the branding. I have really enjoyed the creative side of representing my business, especially the packaging which I’m VERY excited about (follow us on twitter @EWEslippers to make sure you get the first sneak peak of this! Facebook to follow…) and labeling. The plus side to being self employed is that you have the time to really think about what you’re trying to achieve and how you’re going to make it come alive.
However, wherever there’s a positive, there’s also a monster ready and waiting! In my case, the more challenging aspects have certainly been the insurance and banking, so many options with little obvious difference. Until you start digging. It’s amazing how many banks offer you great start up banking options, but make it incredibly difficult to identify what their caveats and subsequent standard rates are.
Fortunately, I have plenty of people who are able to talk this through with me, not to mention friends who have also started their own businesses which is invaluable! Ultimately, if you look hard enough, there is a lot of support out there for new businesses and young entrepreneurs, whatever your concerns.
